Human Papilloma Virus Workgroup

Purpose: The HPV workgroup is working together to expand and disseminate the evidence-base for human papillomavirus research and education, with a focus on research supporting dissemination of the HPV vaccine.

Evidence-based Approaches Workgroup

Purpose: 1. To determine the nature and extent of community training needs regarding skills for finding, choosing, and adapting evidence-based approaches to cancer prevention,

2. To determine the nature and extent of gaps in current training materials on evidence-based approaches,
3. To procure funding for the CPCRN to work collaboratively in developing training materials to disseminate evidence-based interventions, and
4. To identify other opportunities for collaboration and training on evidence-based approaches to cancer control.

Developing and Testing Decision Aids Workgroup

Purpose: 1. To develop an inventory of completed and ongoing studies of decision aids for cancer screening.

2. To develop an inventory of measures for assessing the effectiveness of decision aids for cancer screening and prevention.
3. To develop collaborative research proposals, particularly for dissemination research that evaluates decision aids in previously untested populations.
