This presentation was part of a "Reverse site visit" for
investigators from the CPCRN to visit CDC and meet with with
stakeholders there to discuss the activities and progress of the
network, how we are accelerating the adoption of evidence-based
cancer prevention and control in communities, and potential areas
for further collaboration with the CDC.
CPCRN Audience Response Session: Testing Evidence-Based
Recommendations CDC Cancer Conference, August 15, 2007
Presenters: Maria E. Fernandez, PhD, Patricia Dolan Mullen, DrPH,
Michelle Kegler, DrPH & Matthew W. Kreuter, PhD, MPH
The session both informed attendees about resources available to
them to learn about evidence-based approaches to cancer prevention
and control (EBAs) and collected data to inform the CPCRN's
development a tool to help cancer prevention and control program
planners identify, adapt, and implement EBAs in their communities.
Attendees used audience response keypads to answer questions about
their familiarity with and feelings about EBAs and the resources
currently available to them for learning about how to adapt and
implement EBAs in their areas. The audience response data
collected were displayed during the session and used to spur
discussion of EBAs and resources to find, adapt, and implement them.

presentation to the CDC Cancer Partners Summit in Washington DC on
July 13, 2005 includes an overview
of the CPCRN including the CPCRN mission and vision, objectives,
network center map, list of principal investigators, and website
screenshot.
CPCRN Overview & Evidence Based Interventions - This
presentation to the American Cancer Society at the January 5, 2006
Steering Committee meeting in Atlanta, Georgia includes an overview
of the CPCRN as well as examples of proven-effective interventions
conducted at each of the network centers presented by the principal
investigator of each center. The original presentation
included a movie (a news story about St. Louis University's
intervention). This movie was removed due to its substantial
